Chet Holmgren will miss Oklahoma City’s game at Dallas on Wednesday with right-knee patellar tendinitis, per NBA.com.
He sat out Monday. This will be his second straight absence. The Thunder are 4-0.
Holmgren is averaging 12.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in three games, and Oklahoma City also lists Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso out, with Ajay Mitchell questionable because of a right ankle sprain. He had 10 points, four rebounds and one block in 31 minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. Oklahoma City beat Phoenix 125-114 on Monday, with Mitchell scoring a career-high 30 points. He has played 29.9 minutes a night so far. The game tips at 9:30 p.m. ET at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The absence leaves Isaiah Hartenstein and Kenrich Williams to cover more frontcourt work against Dallas. Holmgren’s next listed opportunity is Saturday, Oct. 31, when the Thunder host Houston.
